PERSONALITY
A walking contradiction. Link is wise beyond his years after saving two different worlds, but his lost childhood has left him stunted in other ways. Not a boy, but not a young man either, the Hero of Time finds himself stuck between different bodies, different worlds, and different attitudes as a matter of course. Don't treat him like a kid — and don't comment on his love for childish indulgences either.
HISTORY
An orphaned baby adopted by the forest itself, Link grew up believing himself to be one of the Kokiri, a race of forest-dwelling spirits who resemble children. Their ruler was cursed by an evil man from outside the forest, Ganondorf, and Link was given the task of saving the nearby kingdom of Hyrule from the same man. In the course of trying to protect the world, Link and the princess Zelda unwittingly handed Ganondorf the very things he needed to take over. Seven years later, Link awakes from a deep sleep to find the kingdom living in terror under Ganondorf, and his own body having grown into that of a teenager. After a long quest, Link manages to defeat Ganondorf with Princess Zelda's help. As thanks, Zelda uses the artifact known as the Ocarina of Time to send Link back in time, to live the childhood he was unable to have.
But, it was too late. Link had been changed by his long adventure, and there was no way for Link to regain his naivety and innocence. He now possessed prophet-like knowledge of the looming threat, and his first task was to warn the King of Ganondorf's plot. This kept him busy for a while, but once his purpose had passed, Link found himself without any person he could truly confide in. His only friend and companion, the fairy Navi, had disappeared when they traveled back in time together.
A new adventure to find Navi lead to a new world to save. Set upon in the woods by an imp wearing a haunting mask, both Link's horse and the Ocarina of Time are stolen from him. This brings him to the land of Termina, three days away from being crushed under its own falling moon. Using the Ocarina of Time, Link repeats the same three days countless times, searching for a way to save this land like he did Hyrule.

❓ physical affection. He's a little kid, so, probably not. But if it's something age-appropriate like a schoolyard crush with a character of similar age, sure!
❓ shipping. Possible, with same qualifiers above.
✔ mental/psychic. Anything I put in a tag is open for characters to know/comment on, assuming they have the powers/whatever to sense it.
✔ offensive subjects. Certain topics are likely to get a rise out of Link, particularly anything exceptionally cruel or abusive towards innocents. You have full permission from me OOCly to get into that if you want, but be prepared for Link to react accordingly!

✔ writing style. I prefer brackets over prose and default to that, but I'm happy to match whatever format you use. I do highly prefer present tense over past tense, because that's what I'm used to tagging in, to the point my brain does it automatically... I can try to match past tense in prose threads but I will probably screw it up!
✔ backtagging. Yes, although eventually I will want to wrap-up old threads that are getting in the way of focusing on new ones. However, if you really want to finish a thread to completion, I'll happily tag it until it's done, just let me know.
